While maintaining publishing as its core business, in 2003 the company moved into the arena of event organization, with its first in-house event being the hugely successful Phuket International Marine Expo (PIMEX) 2003. Hailed by marine industry exhibitors as a resounding success, PIMEX 2003 saw international exhibitors from all aspects of the marine industry, and - in keeping with the 'lifestyle' concept of boating - players in Thailand's booming property and leisure markets. At PIMEX 2004 4,000 quality visitors let exhibitors to report record sales and orders with more than US$2.0 million transacted and finalised during the four days. PIMEX 2005 showcased a whole host of new products and new ventures with more boats in the water and on the hardstand (40 boats in total) - and more island property for sale - than ever before. At least 12 boats were sold during the third annual Phuket boatshow show and initial estimates of solid sales achieved amount to approximately US$ 4 million.

PIMEX 2006 also hosted superb luxury yachts, charter boats, the latest marine equipment and a Phuket lifestyle. With a larger on-water display than ever before, 4,400 visitors, at least 10 boats sold and plenty of deals on the table, the Phuket Boatshow closed on a high note.

Image Asia Events brings yet another 'first' to the region, Phuket Raceweek. Held from
July 10 - 17 2004, Asia's most exciting new regatta was a full week of international-standard yacht racing for a wide range of yachts - from the highly competitive top racers all the way to liveaboard cruisers and charter boats - off Phuket's East Coast, at a time of year when good breezes are practically guaranteed.
Off the water, too, Evason Phuket Raceweek maintained and improved on a winning formula - the 'one regatta, one venue' policy of the organizers. The Evason Phuket Resort & Six Sense Spa as a venue is one of the great attractions of this regatta. A five star waterside venue, with a regatta bar, the regatta office and the venue for five great parties all in the same place - all in view of the racing - is unique on the Asian regatta circuit.

Six Senses Phuket Raceweek, Phuket's green season regatta will be held once again at the Evason from 23 to 27 July 2008.
